The Design Consultation
The complementary Design Consultation is an essential component of every portrait and extremely beneficial prior to any event photography by B.Morales Photography.
During this time I will personally meet with you, and your family to plan out your portrait session or event photography.
The Portrait Session
A Family Portrait Session usually takes about one hour. It is my goal to provide you with gorgeous family portraits that illustrate your family member’s personalities and unique relationships.
When creating portraits of infants, children, or pets, I primarily focus on capturing them “In their element”, relying very little on posing. Instead I’ll engage them in a fun activity or have them play with their favorite toys. Both children and pets tend to be more active and comfortable in familiar surroundings. This relaxes them and make for a great photographic experience too.
Portraits of Tweens (9-12 yr. olds) and Teens are dear to my heart! Having been a 5th grade teacher and youth minister, I’ve worked with a variety of youths.
Teenagers can be hesitant at first, but I’ve found that by involving them in the creation of their portrait, it gives them more of a sense of ownership and interest. In the design consultation I’ll inquire about their hobbies and interests and incorporate them into the portrait.
I know Dogs! For the past 25 years my dogs have served as my photographic subjects. Consequently I’ve developed a passion for photographing animals of any kind. I don’t mind getting down & dirty to get a treasured photograph of your pet.
When I am creating a portrait of a reluctant teenager or squirmy toddler it motivates me to know that someday they too, will treasure the memories that connect them to their past and future generations, and they too will cherish these milestones.
